"Bog Standard Evangelicalism"

It's been awhile since I trumpeted a piece by Carl Trueman.
I'm long overdue, and his latest is just what the doctor ordered.

In a time when we are bombarded with terms like post-modern, post-conservative, Post Corn Puffs cereal... it's nice to know I don't have to label myself a post-evangelical, as I have wanted to do. I can go with this far more trollish and Ogreish term of being a Bog Standard Evangelical.

I'll let Dr. Trueman Explain it.

PS - I missed it, did the Giants win? Did they beat the Cowboys? OH, they did? WOW. That's AWESOME!
(Yes, that is directed squarely at my newly saddened Texan friends) :-)
Bring on the Pack!

troll bait.

can't wait to see Eli freezing his butt off on the frozen tundra next week. Doubt the Packers will be quite as mistake-prone as the Cowboys were yesterday.

Mistake prone?

Don't you mean mistake driven?

If the Giants D-Line didn't knock Romo on his butt 423 times in the second half, this conversation would be reversed.

There was only one real game changing mistake on the Cowboys part, and that was Crayton's dropped pass in the end zone (though his earlier drop could have been big too).
